Hey - I haven't checked on here for awhile. Glad to see you're processing through everything. This has to have been a "life-changing" experience!

How interesting that you bring up the difference in your life as related to endorphins...I had never thought about that, but I'm certainly understanding right now that you must have felt changes in so many ways. Our chemistry really affects how we feel and live day to day. Hang in there as you readjust to "real" life!

Seth loved getting his certificate and card from you (and one from Alison). Thanks, again, for letting him be a part of your journey!

The only thing that kept ME going after Kansas was the fact that I knew in the bottom of my heart that you had a WSU Cougar bike shirt SOMEWHERE in the chasm of your gear locker and were going to pull it out to suprise me when I least expected it ... NOT

Ross,
2,500 miles, IMPRESSIVE!!! I met you, your crew and Uncle Lee at TS 34 - Washington, MO. I prayed for you and your crew all night and for the next couple of days. So glad to hear that you are OK.
I will never complain about the 20 miles we ride on Saturday mornings. I will think about all that you endured for 2,500 miles.
God Bless you, your family & crew.

A few notes from Crew Chief Alison ... Will try to add more comments as they come to me - first and foremost I am very grateful for Ross to have the faith in my abilities to basically handle the unknown - for a rookie crew I think we pulled off an amazing feat - of course with a rider like Ross that gave it his absolute all, it was pretty easy to succeed ... A big thanks to Dad for all the up front logistical work - hotels, Garmin programming, route detailing, setting up the van and assisting Ross on many practice rides, Milton for his additional route analysis prior to the race and his navigating and driving, Brandon, Joel and Jim R. for the never ending task of feeding and keeping the rider comfortable, and Jim H for all his driving skills and historical perspective (he has crewed on 15 RAAMs!).

Of course the network of family & friends that helped and encouraged Ross over the years. The Kansas Crew (Larina and Mom) was a true boost and the Annapolis celebration team (Bob, Larina, Sammi, Mom & Natalie) was just another example of how proud we are of Ross and his amazing accomplishment.

You had a great ride, Ross -- 2,500 mi.-- WOW! I'm glad that Susan, Seth and I saw you in action.

I know you will miss the Missouri rollers and high humidity; so, come on back and see us sometime.
