Muecke Racing

“Muecke Racing” has grown out of my love of long distance cycling.  What started as a “I wonder if I can” double century has quickly progressed to a passion for ultracycling.

I have added sponsors and contributors, and now ride to support Seattle Childrens Hospital.

2009 was a great year for me, with many successes – plus a few failures that taught me a lot.  Not finishing an ultra-event is always a possibility, and sometimes it is the unexpected or unprepared-for that teach us the most.

For 2010 I am focusing every bit of my efforts towards Race Across AMerica.

    Hey Ross:

Don’t know if you remember me but I am a good and very old friend of Larina’s. She filled me in today on your progress. My family is now watching your progress and cheering you along. We wish you the best…good luck!!!

A few notes from Crew Chief Alison … Will try to add more comments as they come to me – first and foremost I am very grateful for Ross to have the faith in my abilities to basically handle the unknown – for a rookie crew I think we pulled off an amazing feat – of course with a rider like Ross that gave it his absolute all, it was pretty easy to succeed … A big thanks to Dad for all the up front logistical work – hotels, Garmin programming, route detailing, setting up the van and assisting Ross on many practice rides, Milton for his additional route analysis prior to the race and his navigating and driving, Brandon, Joel and Jim R. for the never ending task of feeding and keeping the rider comfortable, and Jim H for all his driving skills and historical perspective (he has crewed on 15 RAAMs!).

Of course the network of family & friends that helped and encouraged Ross over the years. The Kansas Crew (Larina and Mom) was a true boost and the Annapolis celebration team (Bob, Larina, Sammi, Mom & Natalie) was just another example of how proud we are of Ross and his amazing accomplishment.
